Best CS:GO/CS2 Anime Skins

One of Counter-Strike’s main selling points as a video game is the weapon skins available. Players are always looking for awesome skins to play with. Many prefer to base their weapon loadouts following a certain theme, and one of the most common ones happens to be surrounding Anime and Japanese culture.

Fortunately for hardcore fans, Valve and the Counter-Strike community have worked together to release some breathtaking Anime skins that can be purchased from the market. In this article, we’ll go through the best CSGO Anime skins you can grab!
1

M4A4 | Temukau

The most iconic Anime-themed skin in all of Counter-Strike is easily the M4A4 | Temukau. I mean, just look at it; doesn’t this skin just scream the word “Anime”?

Released in early 2023, the Temukau quickly grabbed the attention of the community for its cute and colorful design that features a female Counter-Terrorist Anime girl. In the skin’s concept, this cute girl is holding down an incoming rush from pesky Terrorists, helping you immerse yourself in the same situation while playing the game.

  • Flavor Text: “Stand your ground!”
  • Release Date: February 10, 2023
  • Price Range: $8.00 – $160.00
  • Collection: The Revolution Collection

The Temukau is a very eye-catching skin with its light blue, white, and pink hues. It might even be a disadvantage to purchase this skin because of how distracting it can be!

You can grab a Battle-Scarred version of this skin for only $8, but a Factory New one with a good float value will cost you a little over the $150 mark. It does fall under the Covert rarity, so such prices are to be expected.

2

AUG | Akihabara Accept

Before the Temukau was introduced to the game, the AUG | Akihabara Accept was the “the” Anime skin of Counter-Strike. Similar to the M4A4 Anime CSGO skin, just a glance at the Akihabara Accept will immediately tell you that it is inspired by Japanese animations and arty styles.

The skin features a heat transfer vinyl design of an Anime magazine cover, with a pink-haired Counter-Terrorist agent taking the main spotlight. Additionally, there are several Japanese texts written all over the skin.

  • Flavor Text: “Yatta!”
  • Release Date: May 26, 2015
  • Price Range: $450.00 – $990.00
  • Collection: The Rising Sun Collection

Overall, the Akihabara Accept is a pretty chaotic skin, as there are bright colors and random writings painted throughout the entire weapon skin. If you’re looking for something simple and aesthetic, this skin isn’t what you are looking for.

However, if the Akihabara accept is to your liking, you must pay a premium price for it because it comes from the Rising Sun Collection, one of the most expensive collections in the game. A copy of this AUG skin will cost you no less than $450, so you might have to think twice.

3

M4A1-S | Player Two

The M4A1-S | Player Two definitely looks like an Anime-themed skin, but it follows older designs, probably somewhere in the 1980s.

The Player Two skin has been custom painted with vibrant colors, and the main attraction is the animated versions of a GIGN Counter-Terrorist agent and a Pop Dog, which looks very similar to a Shiba-Inu, one of the most popular dog breeds from Japan.

  • Flavor Text: “Press Start…”
  • Release Date: March 31, 2020
  • Price Range: $15.00 – $125.00
  • Collection: The Prisma 2 Collection

Generally speaking, the comic-like design on the Player Two skin is very well-detailed. Even though the skin looks very chaotic, the various colors mesh well enough to consider it a very solid skin.

The M4A1-S | Player Two is one of the two Covert-tier skins in the Prisma 2 Collection, so you’ll have to pay over $100 to get a Factory New version of this skin. If you’re really on a tight budget and want it badly, there’s always the Battle-Scarred option you can grab for a bargain.

4

AWP | Oni Taiji

There is no way a general “best skins” list would go without an AWP skin, which is why the AWP | Oni Taiji will fill the slot for this one. One of the most significant symbols of Japanese historic culture are samurais and demons. Well, you can find both on the Oni Taiji!

This sleek AWP skin features a hand-painted design of a colorful samurai with a purple attire facing a demon bursting in flames. This epic duel is something you’d find on several Anime titles such as Demon Slayer.

  • Flavor Text: “Face your demons”
  • Release Date: May 24, 2017
  • Price Range: $180.00 – $723.00
  • Collection: The Operation Hydra Collection

Aside from the fantastic artwork displayed on the weapon, the remainder of the skin is painted in purple hues, which is a mesmerizing touch that compliments the color scheme. The Oni Taiji is seriously one of the best AWP skins Valve has released.

However, good things don’t come cheap. The Oni Taiji in its worst condition is already going for a little less than $200, and let’s not get started about the Factory New version that could wipe the wallets of many players.

5

MAC-10 | Sakkaku

The MAC-10 isn’t the most popular weapon choice in the game, and mainly used after winning the pistol round. However, the Sakkaku skin might make you purchase it more often if you want a pair of lustful eyes entertaining you while you play.

The MAC-10 | Sakkaku has a very straightforward design concept, which pretty much showcases an Anime girl’s crimson, alluring eyes staring right at your soul. Some might think that these eyes are a little too seductive.

  • Flavor Text: “Make your perception their reality”
  • Release Date: February 10, 2023
  • Price Range: $0.25 – $1.20
  • Collection: The Revolution Collection

This MAC-10 skin hasn’t been in the game for too long, as it is a more recent addition to the game as a part of the Revolution Collection released in 2023. Unlike most of the skins on the list, the Sakkaku is very affordable, as you can get your hands on a Factory New version for only a dollar.

6

Sawed-Off | Kiss♥Love

Though we have the Temukau and Akihabara Accept that act as the embodiment of “Anime” on a Counter-Strike skin, we’d argue that the Sawed-Off | Kiss♥Love does a better job at that. Sadly, the Sawed-Off is one of the most useless weapons in the game, so we can’t rank this skin too high.

The Kiss♥Love skin is everything you would want in the word “kawaii,” which means cute in Japanese. This Sawed-Off has been custom painted with a starry-eyed Anime girl with a curious look coming out of her pink and purple eyes.

  • Flavor Text: “I won’t take no for an answer; I have to have it!”
  • Release Date: July 1, 2022
  • Price Range: $2.60 – $11.20
  • Collection: The Recoil Collection

On top of a breathtaking design already, the Kiss♥Love has a “CSGO” writing to let every game know where such a skin can be found. There are also purple flowers populating the skin.

If you want a weapon skin with bright, feminine colors, grabbing the Kiss♥Love would be a good idea to flex on your teammates. You can grab the best version of the Kiss♥Love for a little over $10, which isn’t too pricey compared to the other skins on this list.

7

AK-47 | Bloodsport

The next skin on the list is the AK-47 | Bloodsport, one of the most appealing AK-47 skins in the game. There is relevance to Japanese culture on the skin, but it’s not as explicit or as meaningful as the others, so we’ve placed it quite low on the list.

The Bloodsport features a bright-red and black color scheme that features several white logo decals of Japanese kanji writing. At the top of the skin, the word “LIGHTNING” is written, though it’s not too clear how the word is related to the skin.

  • Flavor Text: “Co-driver wanted”
  • Release Date: March 16, 2017
  • Price Range: $115.00 – $160.00
  • Collection: The Spectrum Collection

Overall, the AK-47 | Bloodsport is one of the most distracting AK-47 skins you can find, and has definitely been a top choice for several years since it was introduced in 2017 as a part of the Spectrum collection.

We don’t have too much wiggle room to negotiate for a Bloodsport, as a Battle-Scarred one will already cost you $115. Still, going all the way to a Factory New one will cost you 45 more dollars, which could make you think twice.

8

MP9 | Mount Fuji

The MP9 | Mount Fuji is one of the most calming and aesthetic skins in the game, and is perfect for players who love traveling and appreciating God’s creations. As the name suggests, this MP9 skin is based on Japan’s famous mountain, Mount Fuji, which makes an appearance in almost every slice of life anime at this point…

An acrylic painting of Mount Fuji has been applied on the skin, with a background suggesting that the image is set at dawn where the sun is clearly visible. It is pretty rare to see Counter-Strike skins painted with acrylic, as most skins are spray painted.

  • Flavor Text: “The red sun rises”
  • Release Date: September 22, 2021
  • Price Range: $3.00 – $10.40
  • Collection: The Operation Riptide Collection

That being said, the MP9 | Mount Fuji is a simple, yet breathtaking skin that isn’t a Covert-tier like most on the list so far. It is a Restricted weapon in the Operation Riptide Collection, which wasn’t released too long ago.

It shouldn’t be too painful to spend ten dollars to grab this skin in Factory New, as it is a great choice for a permanent MP9 skin for your loadout.

9

Galil AR | Crimson Tsunami

We’re starting to stretch as there aren’t too many more evident Anime skins in the game, but the Galil AR | Crimson Tsunami definitely has some resemblance. You’ve probably seen Japanese images of the magnificent waves coming from a tsunami, which is what the Crimson Tsunami is all about.

This Galil AR skin has been spray painted with blue wave patterns over a maroon base, giving it a darker and faded look, making it seem like it has been painted in a night-time setting.

  • Flavor Text: “Westward breaks”
  • Release Date: March 16, 2017
  • Price Range: $1.20 – $3.80
  • Collection: The Spectrum Collection

We think the Crimson Tsunami is a very underrated Galil AR skin, which isn’t the fault of everyone because there are so many budget choices for this weapon. Still, you should look to pick it up in case you’re crafting a Japanese-themed loadout.

Being a part of the original Spectrum collection released seven years ago, the price of the Crimson Tsunami has settled down to less than four dollars, making it a very affordable skin.

10

Glock-18 | Umbral Rabbit

The Glock-18 | Umbral Rabbit features a relatively unique artstyle, which would remind an average Anime fan of Studio Ghibli, one of the most iconic studios in the entire industry.

The theme of the Umbral Rabbit also matches the general plots of movies produced by Ghibli, which would regularly feature fantasy and dreamlike characters. So, if you’re a real Ghibli fan, there should be no other choice for a Glock skin other than this one.

  • Flavor Text: “Take a leap of faith”
  • Release Date: February 10, 2023
  • Price Range: $0.30 – $1.70
  • Collection: The Revolution Collection

The Umbral Rabbit has been painted with a dreamlike scene of a magical and mystical rabbit casually hopping around in front of a beautiful full moon in the background. Overall, it is a pretty decent skin and can be found in the Restricted category in the Revolution Collection.

You can grab yourself a Factory New version of this skin for only $1.66, which is very affordable compared to higher-tier Glock-18 skins.

11

Desert Eagle | Kumicho Dragon

The closest thing to an Anime skin for the Desert Eagle is undoubtedly the Kumicho Dragon, which is a Classified pistol in the Operation Wildfire Collection. The skin has a very detailed design, yet it doesn’t stand out too much.

The Kumicho Dragon is a skin that features laser-edged dragons applied throughout the pistol’s slide and grip. It really looks like the skin has been tattooed with a bunch of dragons, which is what Yakuzas in Japan would love to do.

  • Flavor Text: “I’m a big fan of your work Yukako, we should talk… -Huxley, The Competition”
  • Release Date: February 18, 2016
  • Price Range: $13.80 – $37.50
  • Collection: The Wildfire Collection

Surprisingly, the Desert Eagle | Kumicho Dragon is a relatively low key skin that doesn’t grab too much attention. However, one good glance at it will make you appreciate how intricate the dragon designs are on the skin.

Unfortunately, this Desert Eagle skin is relatively pricey, as you’ll have to exceed the $30 to get one in Factory New condition. However, the skin doesn’t look too bad in worse conditions, as it gets darker as the float value goes up.

12

Five-SeveN | Kami

Next, we have the Five-SeveN | Kami, which isn’t the most obvious Anime skin in the list. Instead, the Kami features what seems to be a design based on Manga panels, which is directly related to Anime and Japanese culture.

Just like typical Manga, the Kami skin is predominantly made up of white and black, which are the only two colors you’d see on Japanese comic books. This color combination does not make the Five-SeveN | Kami a striking skin, but gets the job done acting as an interesting design.

  • Flavor Text: “Some ghosts won’t stay buried”
  • Release Date: December 18, 2013
  • Price Range: $1.30 – $2.10
  • Collection: The Winter Offensive Collection

The Five-SeveN skin was actually released all the way in December 2013 as a part of the Winter Offensive Collection, one of the oldest cases in the game.

Since Winter Offensive cases have gone up in price after being discontinued, the Five-SeveN | Kami is quite pricey for a Mil-Spec grade skin, as it costs $2.10 for a Factory New copy.

13

M4A4 | Dragon King

Last but not least, we have the M4A4 | Dragon King to close off the list. The Dragon King is one of the flashiest skins in the game, as players are greeted with a burst of vibrant colors.

The Dragon King M4A4 skin has a stunning design of a fierce dragon colored in red, with the background of the skin dominated by blue colors. There is a lot happening on the Dragon King, making it a great choice for players who enjoy chaotic designs.

  • Flavor Text: “A weapon worthy of The Monkey King himself – Booth, Arms Dealer”
  • Release Date: January 8, 2015
  • Price Range: $6.20 – $28.70
  • Collection: The Chroma Collection

This M4A4 skin is perfect for Anime enthusiasts, as it embodies colorful patterns reminiscent of Anime art. The dragon is also a common beast you would see in several anime series, so it definitely will not look out of place in an Anime-themed loadout.

Despite being a Classified rifle, the Dragon King isn’t too pricey, as you can get it in its best condition for less than $30. However, you should always grab the Temukau over if if your wallet allows.
