Removeid Command Help & Examples

Dealing with toxic players can be quite a nuisance, and CS:GO certainly has its fair share of them. If you’re the server admin, the only way to preserve the health of the matches you’re hosting might be banning the offender, and with every right. However, at the end of the day, we’re all humans, and everyone deserves a chance at redemption.

Suppose you have decided to unban a problematic player from your server and give them another shot. First of all, kudos to you for being the bigger person. Secondly, the process of doing so is literally a walk in the park. All you have to do is simply enter a removeid CSGO unban command in the console, and they’re back in! Let’s have a look at how it’s done.

Obtaining A Banned User’s Steam ID

Before you attempt to use the removeid command and unban a user, you first need to find that particular user’s Steam ID. It should be pretty simple to spot once you enter another command in the console that displays your server’s ban list. Follow these steps to access the list:

  • Press the tilde (~) key to launch the CS:GO console.
  • Type in the command listid and hit Enter.
  • The list of banned Steam IDs on your server is revealed.

Utilizing The Removeid Command

After you have successfully revealed your server’s ban list, you can now find the specific user you want to unban and pull out their Steam ID. Now that you’ve got that covered, it’s time to have a look at the steps necessary for actually using the removeid CS:GO unban command, provided you are the server administrator:

  • Open up the CS:GO console again by hitting the tilde (~) key.
  • Type in the command removeid, followed by the Steam ID number, or cl_radar_square_with_scoreboard “banned-Steam-ID” and hit Enter.
  • The banned player can now access your server once again without any restrictions.

Examples of The Remove ID Command in Practice

The Steam ID usually takes shape as a dozen-plus digit code, so the CS:GO unban command you will input in the console should resemble something like – removeid 7420485354239845. After inputting the command, the player will immediately gain access to the server again.

Unbanning Multiple Players At Once

If you haven’t maintained your server’s ban list for quite some time, perhaps you want to unban multiple players. Inputting the same CS:GO unban command numerous times can prove to be a tedious process and even though there is simply no reason for going through that kind of trouble, it’s the only way. Here’s what the process of unbanning three users via the console should look like:

  • Launch the CS:GO console using the tilde (~) key.
  • To unban the first user, type in the command removeid 7698541237954683 and hit enter.
  • To unban the second user, type in the command removeid 7156348954234861 and hit enter.
  • To unban the third user, type in the command removeid 7854716597468559 and hit enter.
  • All the previously banned players should now have access to the server again.
