Changing your default typeface in CS:GO can be done in several ways. Some of these methods are shared here, and all of them are legal, so you won’t get banned. 

How to Change Default Font in CS:GO to Pre-installed Fonts

If you’re skeptical about this application, you can view the source code in either zip or tar.gz format. 

• Just download the fontmanager.exe file to your desktop. 
• Go to the application once it has been downloaded, and run the executable. 

The first time you launch this application, it’ll try to navigate to your CS:GO go directory; it should do it automatically. But if it gets it wrong, just manually put it in wherever your CS:GO folder is.

Method 2

• In the game, go to “properties.”
• Then, go to the “local files” tab.
• Click “Browse local files.”

This will open the Counter-Strike Global Offensive file directory.

• Click CSGO.
• Click “panorama.” 

You’ll find the preinstalled fonts in the folder from which you can choose. 

However, continue with these steps if you want to use a custom font.

• Click this link and download the CSGO font zip file.

We recommend you save it on your desktop.

• Locate and open the CSGO font zip file.
• Click and drag the fonts folder to your desktop.
• Open the fonts folder.
• Select the font you want.
• Click on the “conf.d” folder or the “fonts.conf” file.

If you click on the conf.d folder, you’ll still have to select any font files.

If you want to edit the content in the fonts.conf file, you’ll need Notepad++. Using another Notepad app will not work. 

• Go back to the panorama folder window you opened earlier. 
• Rename the fonts folder that contains the regular fonts to something like “fonts_backup.”
• Then move it to another location. Once again, we recommend moving it to your desktop. 
• Drag the fonts folder you initially dragged to your desktop to the panorama folder. 
• Open the font you want to use.
• Click on the install button/shield at the top of the window.
• Type out the name of the font in any notepad.
• Copy the name, and then go to one of the font files and open it. 
• Replace the font name in the notepad with the font name you copied. 
• Repeat this for all the font files in the folder. 

You can use find and replace in Notepad++ to replace the names of the fonts. 

• Go back to the font file you want to use and open it. 
• Replace the name in the notepad as well.
• Look for the option for pixel size (it’s usually <double>9<double>) and change the 9 to 1.0.

If you leave it at 9, the font will be too large. 

• After doing that, close the folders and launch CS:GO. 

You’ll discover that the font has changed to the new font you selected.
