How To Make A CS2 Crouch Jump Bind

Mastering the movement in Counter-Strike can turn you from a noob to an amazing player. However, achieving that requires hundreds, if not thousands of hours of training. Take pro players as an example. Most of them have over 10,000 hours in CS 1.6, CS:GO, and CS2, and yet, we still see them fail some of the most basic jumps.
In other words, it can happen to anyone because a minor delay of a couple of milliseconds can cost you a jump which can lead to a round loss and then finally losing a match. This is why you should consider removing the factor of human error and using a crouch jump bind. With just one press of a button, you can do a perfect crouch jump every time.

Here’s how you can do that bind in CS2.
1

Crouch Jump Bind CSGO and CS2

To bind a crouch jump bind key, all you need to do is open up the console and paste and enter a command. The console can be opened by hitting the tilde key (~). If the console does not open with this button, you will need to head into the game’s settings then into the Game tab and look for the Enable Developer Console setting. Select Yes and then open the console to paste the following:

alias +duckjump “+jump; +duck”; alias -duckjump “-jump; -duck”; bind “SPACE” “+duckjump”

This command will assign the crouch jump to your space key, but you can replace that with any key you want. However, if you do plan on using the space bar to crouch jump then you will need to rebind your regular jump. You will still need it!

Open the console and enter the following:

bind mwheeldown +jump or bind mwheelup +jump or bind mwheeldown +jump; bind mwheelup +jump

This will bind the jump to your mouse wheel, so you can jump by scrolling up or down. This is a very common bind and most people prefer jumping with the scroll rather than the space bar.

Why You Need The Crouch Jump Bind

The reason why every player should have this bind in their arsenal is because it allows them to jump higher and climb to higher places.

For example, if you want to consistently climb on the Xbox in Mid on Dust 2, then you should use this bind. With the bind, you can also do the skill jump on Dust 2 Xbox (climbing from the side), Mirage Window to Short jump, Firebox, Triple, and many more places.

Of course, you should only use the bind when you want to climb to higher places. For regular jumps or bunnyhopping, you should continue using your regular jump as crouch jumping can affect your movement speed.
