Can You Play CS2 On Any Other Consoles?

CS2 is currently not available on any consoles at all. This includes PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles. While we may someday see CS2 come to consoles, Valve currently has no intention of developing a console port for the game.

However, with Riot Games currently working on a console port for Valorant while being one of CS2’s biggest competitors, Valve is likely watching closely to see how Valorant is received on consoles to see if there’s a market for more competitive first-person shooter games like CS2 on consoles as well.

Has Counter-Strike Been Available On Console Before?

CSGO was actually released on PS3, Xbox 360, and Windows back in August 2012. This may come as a surprise to many of you, but CSGO originally started as a console port of Counter-Strike: Source (CSS), but instead ended up becoming the renowned game we now know as CSGO.

Unfortunately, the console version of CSGO is no longer playable via official matchmaking due to Valve dropping support for the title, to fully focus on CS2 and its PC version. However, you can still play CSGO on Xbox 360 and PS3 via a legacy version of CSGO as long as you connect to community servers, or play on private servers against bots.
