The Funniest CSGO Memes (Top 10)
Rush B P90 Cyka Blyat
The most iconic CSGO meme has to be “Rush B P90,” with the “cyka blyat” added to the back. The P90 is an SMG and is one of the easiest weapons in Counter-Strike, allowing players to run and spray the weapon simultaneously.
The meme is that the easiest strategy to pull off is to rush the B bomb site as a five-man unit to overwhelm poor Counter-Terrorists trying to hold the site down. “Cyka blyat” is a common Russian expletive that is used to reflect the Russian playstyle which often involves lots of chaotic situations. This strategy works on most maps, but it is especially best on Dust II and Mirage.
P250 Sand Dune
The P250 | Sand Dune is notoriously known to be one of the cheapest, and ugliest weapon skins in all of Counter-Strike.
The meme was created by the trading community, as players would often joke about offering a P250 | Sand Dune in exchange for a very expensive skin such as an M4A4 | Howl or an AK-47 | Fire Serpent.
The amount of lowballing and absurdity of suggesting such a trade has made the P250 | Sand Dune a humorous weapon and a symbol of trolling and banter in Counter-Strike trading. Remember not to get offended if you are offered one of these!
Jame Time
Dzhami “Jame” Ali is a professional Russian Counter-Strike player for Virtus.Pro. He is an incredibly successful player, having a Major title under his belt. However, he has a very unique and patient playstyle that has essentially turned himself into a CSGO meme.
Jame plays the role of an AWPer, meaning he is wielding one of the most expensive weapons in the game all the time. When his team is losing the round, he would always give up the round and opt to save his AWP, even if the situation isn’t that unfavorable for him.
As a result, the community would spam “Jame Time” every time he goes to save his AWP. The meme has become extremely prominent in the professional scene, and viewers would still spam the phrase if other players other than Jame are saving.
“You Can’t Cheat On VAC Secured Servers”
This next CSGO meme is a sarcastic one where Counter-Strike players are mocking Valve’s lack of a proper anti-cheat system.
Valve has protected all their servers with the Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) system, however, thousands of hackers can breach through the system pretty much every single day. Playing against hackers in Counter-Strike has been a prevalent issue even though the game has been out for over a decade.
Valve would always display the warning message reading “You can’t cheat on VAC secured servers,” but we all know that is the most obvious lie on the planet. Valve, please solve this issue!
Word.exe
One of the most famous cheating scandals in professional gaming comes from Counter-Strike. Nikhil “forsaken” Kumawat was a player for the team OpTic India. He played in a LAN tournament, and made the bold move to download a cheat client on his computer.
He renamed the cheating software to “word.exe” to try and make the client’s name less obvious. However, he was immediately caught red handed. The tournament staff paused the match and approached his computer to check it. Forsaken was seen pushing away the staff’s hand out of panic.
As soon as he was caught, he was immediately VAC banned and sentenced to a lifetime ban from professional play. Now, the community uses “word.exe” as a reference to players who use cheating software.
PashaBiceps
Jarosław “pashaBiceps” Jarząbkowski is a retired professional Counter-Strike player from Poland. He was dominating the scene in the early days of Global Offensive when he was playing for Virtus.Pro.
Pasha has language limitations, as he isn’t very fluent in English. Though this is nothing for anyone to clown him about, he has splurted out some very funny lines throughout his professional and streaming career.
As a sign of respect and a little bit of humor, the Counter-Strike community loves repeating some of the lines he has spoken:
- “You are not my friend, you are my brother, my friend”
- “New Kinguin team have no chance my friend”
- “They don’t deserve for rekt”
Despite hanging the keyboard, Pasha is still very active within the Counter-Strike community. He would cycle from Poland to another country to attend an event.
I’m Feeling Thank You
Another popular quote that turned into a CSGO meme was said by the man himself, İsmailсan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş.
XANTARES was one of the biggest onliners in the scene, known for destroying professional players with his trademarked “XANTARES Peek.” Similar to Pasha, the Turk had problems speaking in English.
During an interview, XANTARES said the famous quote, “I’m feeling thank you,” as a response to a question asking how he was feeling. The Counter-Strike community quickly caught on, and even professional players were saying this quote in their interviews.
XANTARES wasn’t too offended about the memes circulating him, and his English has improved drastically since the incident.
iBUYPOWER Throw
One of the biggest scandals in Counter-Strike happened in 2014 with the infamous iBUYPOWER match-fixing scandal.
iBUYPOWER was the best North American team at the time. They were the only team from the region that could compete internationally. The squad was tasked to face the NetCodeGuides.com team, which should have been an incredibly easy victory.
However, the players on the iBUYPOWER roster decided to bet against themselves, leading them to throw the match and make an easy profit. However, Valve took action and sentenced four out of five players to a lifetime ban.
So, if a team is performing suspiciously and throwing easy rounds, this term is used to refer to these odd decisions.
Olofmeister Boost
Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer Gustafsson is a retired legendary Counter-Strike player from Sweden. He is most known for his time in Fnatic, a team that won two Majors. Despite his impeccable skill, olofmeister decided to exploit a bug in a professional match.
In the Playoffs match against Team LDLC, Fnatic performed a three-man pixel boost on the map Overpass which allowed them to see the entire map undetected. Olofmeister was the person at the top of this boost, and he would get free kills on the LDLC players with a scout or auto-sniper.
This bug abuse led Fnatic to come back from a 3-12 deficit to win the map. However, the team decided to forfeit the series and withdrew from the tournament. The “Boostmeister” phrase is prevalently used as a reference to bug exploits and abuse and one of the most funny moments in the franchise.
G2 Defuse
The “G2 Defuse” CSGO meme comes from a nightmare incident surrounding the G2 Esports Counter-Strike team.
The French lineup was playing a match against Astralis on the map Nuke in 2019. G2 were down 7-15, but a comeback seemed possible after they eliminated all Astralis players and all that was left was to defuse the bomb.
However, the G2 players got confused. They thought the bomb was planted on the A bomb site, but it was actually planted on the B site. With plenty of time and four players alive, nobody ended up defusing the bomb, leading to Astralis winning the map 16-7.
