CS:GO Shroud Settings, Crosshair & Config
If you are new to CS:GO, you should research Shroud since he is among the most mechanically gifted players and the king of FPS titles. In this article, we’ll share all his CS:GO settings: crosshair, mouse sensitivity, video specifications, viewmodel, and config so you can at least try to play like Shroud
But before we do that, let’s get to know the legend better.
Shroud the Living Legend
Michael Grzesiek is a 30-year-old Canadian professional gamer. Originally named mEclipse, he changed his CSGO gaming name to Shroud. In well-known first-person shooter titles, including PUBG, CSGO, Apex Legends, and many more, Shroud is most recognized for his aiming accuracy.
He participated in Cloud 9’s CS:GO division before becoming a full-time streamer, winning many tournaments and solidifying himself among NA’s best. In April 2018, he revealed that he would formally retire from Cloud 9, where he had been signed as a streamer off the active squad.
Shroud is also well-known on YouTube, with millions of viewers streaming his games there. With nine million followers on Twitch, he ranks third among all the gamers on the network.
Shroud adjusts some CS:GO parameters to improve his performance and support his great accuracy. Many players want to view his streams since they help them grow their talents.
In the summer of 2022, he temporarily signed on Sentinels’ professional VALORANT roster to participate in LCQ.
Shroud’s Crosshair Settings
Alpha | 255 | Color | 3 |
Blue | 250 | Red | 250 |
Drawoutline | 1 | Dot | 0 |
Gap | -2 | Size | 5 |
Style | 1 | Thickness | 1.5 |
Sniper Width | 2 |
Although Shroud’s crosshair is larger than most professional players use, it could be helpful for you as a beginner since you can see it and practice your crosshair placement to ensure you constantly aim at enemy heads.
Here’s the code if you wish just to copy Shroud’s crosshair into your console:
cl_crosshair_drawoutline 1; cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 3; cl_crosshaircolor_b 250; cl_crosshaircolor_g 250; cl_crosshaircolor_r 250; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -2; cl_crosshairsize 5; cl_crosshairstyle 1; cl_crosshairthickness 1.5; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 2;
Shroud’s Config
To have the same playing experience as Shroud, you must download and save his config file in Steam’s Counter:Strike:Global Offensive folder on your computer. Along with much more, the config file contains his crosshair, all key binds, and viewmodel settings. All you have to do once it’s in the correct folder is open your game console and type “exec config.cfg” to begin running Shroud’s config.
Here’s the link to the config file: https://www.mediafire.com/file/dlb9kuzlccgf90o/shroud_config.rar/file

Shroud’s Viewmodel Settings
FOV | 68 | Offset X | 2.5 |
Offset Y | 1 | Offset Z | -1.5 |
Presetpos | 3 | Shift Left Amt | 0 |
Shift Right Amt | 0 | Recoil | 0 |
Righthand | 1 |
The view model settings of Shroud are somewhat close to the norm. He uses his right hand to play with his rifle, which is a fundamental issue of preference. This is one variation you could find. Should you object, all you have to do is write “cl_righthand 0” on the console and revert it to your left hand.
Here’s the viewmodel code: viewmodel_fov 68;viewmodel_offset_x 2;viewmodel_offset_y 2;viewmodel_offset_z -1;cl_righthand 0;viewmodel_presetpos 0
Shroud’s Mouse Settings
Shroud uses the Logitech G303 Shroud Edition mouse and Logitech G840 Shroud Edition mousepad. Below are his mouse settings:
DPI | 400 | CS:GO Sensitivity | 2.4 |
eDPI | 960 | Zoom Sensitivity | 1 |
Hz | 1000 | Windows Sensitivity | 6 |
Raw Input | 1 | Mouse Acceleration | 0 |
His mouse acceleration has a zoom sensitivity of 1. This facilitates easy zoom onto distant targets and hits them. The mouse’s DPI settings are set at 400, and its raw input is enabled. He is well-known for his aiming ability, which comes from mouse settings.
Playing with high sensitivity and DPI or low sensitivity and DPI has no correct response since mouse sensitivity and DPI are personal matters. Shroud tends more towards a low-sens and DPI type. However, you can use whatever you feel most comfortable with. While adapting to closer aim duels could be a difficult chore, you will find it simpler to make little changes versus an opponent at a long range.
Shroud’s Video Settings
Shroud’s computer is powered by an Intel Core 19-13900K CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, allowing him to achieve the best graphic performance. His screen is an ASUS ROG Swift PG27AQN.
Once more, Shroud’s video settings are unlike those of most other players. The streamer prefers playing with a higher resolution of 2560×1440 at a 240Hz refresh rate because the game looks better, and he has PC hardware to enable it without running into FPS declines during his aim duels.
Here are his video settings:
Display Mode | Fullscreen | Resolution | 2560×1440 / 240 HZ |
Scaling mode | Native | Aspect ratio | 16:9 |
Brightness | 100 percent | Color Mode | Computer Monitor |
Global Shadow Quality | High | Model / Texture Detail | Low |
Texture Streaming | Disabled | Effect Detail | Low |
Shader Detail | Low | Boost Player Contrast | Enabled |
Multicore Rendering | Enabled | Multisampling Anti-Aliasing Mode | 8x MSAA |
FXAA Anti-Aliasing | Disabled | Texture Filtering Mode | Anisotropic 8x |
Wait for Vertical-Sync | Disabled | Motion Blur | Disabled |
Triple-Monitor Mode | Disabled | Use Uber Shaders | Enabled |
Given its settings, Shroud finds it simpler to play for longer hours and with more accuracy using the Alienware AW2721D. With a 16:9 aspect ratio, the gamer may get a closer sense of the game and its images. This increases the game’s enjoyment for both the pro gamer and the live stream viewers.
Shroud leaves the display mode on Fullscreen and the brightness setting at 100%. This helps him find targets and minimize screen blind spots. Higher picture quality requires the Multicore rendering and Boost player contrast to be activated.
He applies an 8x MSAA multisampling anti-aliasing mode and an Anisotropic 8x texture filtering mode. All these characteristics are essential for a professional gamer and guarantee he has the high-quality screens required.
If your game stutters, you might consider lowering the Texture Filtering Mode, Multisampling Anti-Aliasing Mode, and Global Shadow Quality even when his video settings are good.
Shroud’s Launch Options
- novid
- high
- tickrate 128
- freq 240
These are inputs available in Steam’s launch choices for CS:GO. Shroud put “-novid,” meaning the game will skip the video intro after starting, as well as “-tickrate 128” and “-freq 240” to guarantee he plays on 128 tick rate on workshop maps and that the game runs on 240 HZ, respectively. The “high” command is to make CS:GO run on top priority, allocating more resources to your PC.
Here’s the launch options code: -freq 240 -novid -console -tickrate 128 +fps_max 499 -nojoy -high +mat_queue_mode 2

Are CS:GO Pro Settings Crucially Important?
The answer might surprise you if you are unsure whether CS:GO pro settings are worth utilizing. Though not critical, vital, or crucial—you name, professionals’ configurations are interesting. On the one hand, pro settings allow gamers to achieve that small determining frame per second, the needle they need to kill. Do you genuinely need such a thorough dig? Professional athletes, on the other hand, are people with certain behaviors, some of which may have originated long ago.
For a basic setting, say screen resolution. Fascinatingly, not all players take advantage of the native 1920*1080, even in the age of full HD monitors. Lower resolutions have advantages and drawbacks; hence, decide which is best for you. We covered the subtleties of several resolution levels in another post. Click here to view.
Different players could have peculiarities of their own. For example, Svyat’s left ear rarely functions; FalleN and EliGE have color differentiation problems, which might influence their settings. Maniac used to play with an inverted mouse, and you should not necessarily mindlessly duplicate that.
Thus, pro players’ CS settings would be a fantastic starting point, but you need to be aware of where you are heading even with them. Pros have looked for appropriate configurations for hundreds of hours. You better look, compare the setups, and duplicate universal material. Still, don’t hesitate to include something personal since everyone is different in this regard. We wish you all the best in your gaming endeavors and hope to see you at the top of the rankings.
Conclusion
Shroud’s CS:GO settings provide insightful analysis of one of the most talented FPS gamers on the planet’s configurations. Examining his crosshair, mouse sensitivity, video specs, viewmodel, and general settings can help players try to match his exact gameplay style.
Though Shroud’s settings are catered to his tastes and playstyle, they offer a solid basis to anyone trying to raise their game. Aspiring players might improve their accuracy and general performance in CS:GO by choosing and adjusting these parameters. Experimenting with Shroud’s settings could help you reach better gameplay, regardless of your experience level—new player or a seasoned professional.
